This blend of annual forage turnips, sugar beets and forage rape are unbelievable fall attractants. They are very fast growing, and are “cool weather” plants which make them ideal for late summer planting. They grow large and leafy and will produce many tons of nutritious, high protein forage per acre for your deer herd. In addition, it is a tremendous winter food for your deer which will help them survive the rigors of post-rut and winter and come into the spring/summer antler growing and fawning season healthier and stronger. Its seeding rate is 4-5 lbs. per acre and is available in 8 1/2 lb., 25 lb or 50 lb. quantities. This mix contains; Sugar Beets, Purple Top Forage Turnip, Carrots, Winfred Forage Rape, Dwarf Essex Rape, and Hunter Forage Rape/Turnip Hybrid. These blends and individual seeds are guaranteed and meet all the requirements and specifications of the US Dept of Agriculture. Each package lists the percent breakdown of the seed varieties in each pack. Each package is attractive for the customer, and contains information such as site preparation, planting instructions, plot maintenance, fertilizing, mowing, etc.
