Purple Top Turnips 4 lb / 1 Acre Bag
Giant Turnips that our deer really Love.

I planted these last summer before my knee surgery. It was mid August, here in north Missouri and we were in drought conditions. It was 3 months until I could return to my turnip plot to see if it even grew under these conditions. I was amazed. I had plants almost waist high and turnips the size of cantaloupe. I could tell the deer had been visiting because of major plant & leaf browsing evidence. I even found a few big bites out of some of the purple tops and they were still rooted in the ground. This is amazing seed for even drought conditions. I would highly recommend them for any food plot either by themselves or in conjunction with other food plot seed. Great product!

An easy to grow member of the brassica family, purple top turnips are cold hardy and drought tolorant.
Deer will typically eat the tops in early Fall and return for the bulps in late the winter, often pawing through the snow and the frozen ground to get them. Leaves remain palatable and nutritious even after several frosts.
In the North plant in late July or early August, further South plant late August to early September.
