Winter Oats are a great late season addition for almost any food plot enthusiast. Winter oats are easy to plant, germinate quickly, and will provide fresh green forage at a time when many plants are beginning to dry up and become less palatable. Plant Frigid Forage Winter Oats around September 1st. in northern regions up through October 1st in warmer climates. Don’t worry about a frost, these oats will stay green and keep the deer coming
Oats are also a great soil conditioner when preparing a new area for next years plantings. Just boadcast and drag your Winter Oats into a newly tilled plot, even if the field is rough and uneven. This method will provide you with nice plot for the Fall and also give the sod clumps a chance to break down so the area will till up much easier the following year.
Seeding Rate 75-100lbs/acre
